We can’t get enough of this awesome project! There’s a huge expanse of brand new beach already open to the public, and work is continuing westward along Seawall Blvd. Here’s a progress picture from September 17:

Imagine this: You’ve just arrived somewhere in Texas with your friends and family for a weekend getaway. Galveston Island, of course! The biggest beach reconstruction project in the history of the Island, the Seawall West Nourishment Project, is officially underway.
