Midseason on Galveston Keeps Us Busy

We arrived at the office a little early the other morning and couldn’t resist a quick stop off across the street at Pirates Beach. There’s a lot to be said for a coffee from MOD in one hand and a beachfront view of the Gulf complete with sand beneath your feet – all before the work day starts!

Galveston’s Beach Nourishment Going Strong

We can’t get enough of this awesome project! There’s a huge expanse of brand new beach already open to the public, and work is continuing westward along Seawall Blvd. Here’s a progress picture from September 17:

Galveston Island, of course! The biggest beach reconstruction project in the history of the Island, the Seawall West Nourishment Project, is officially underway.
