Playa San Luis & Laguna San Luis

Playa San Luis & Laguna San Luis are Galveston neighborhoods straddling FM 3005 on the far west end of Galveston Island at Pointe San Luis. You’ll find the best of both worlds:  Playa San Luis is on the beachside and Laguna San Luis is on the bayside of the highway.

These single-family homes are located some 20 miles west of 61st Street in Galveston, 11 miles east of Galveston Island State Park, and 2 miles east of San Luis Pass and the bridge over to Surfside.

The approximately 20 houses at Laguna San Luis were built as early as 1995 on predominately quarter-acre dry lots. They range in size from 1,240 to 2,580 square feet. Amenities include a swimming pool and picnic pavilion.

There are some 70 houses in Playa San Luis, approximately 10 of which are directly on the beach, and the remainders are beachside.  Unlike other Galveston beach houses, properties here are built on streets perpendicular to the shoreline rather than in rows parallel to the surf.
Some of these homes were built as early as 1988, and range from 1,200 to 3,375 square feet. Playa San Luis homeowners have use of the pool and picnic pavilion across FM 3005 at Laguna San Luis.

Vacation rentals are permitted in Pointe San Luis.

People shopping for houses for sale in Galveston will find Playa San Luis and Laguna San Luis prices ranging from the $300,000s to $1 million. Lots range from $15,000 - $100,000.
