About Galveston Real Estate Statistics 

Every year, Sand `N Sea assembles and releases a Galveston real estate market outlook that applies to the Island as a whole, as well as specific areas and neighborhoods. The preparation that goes into this comprehensive report is extensive. It starts with extracting real estate statistics from the Houston Association of Realtors and assembling the data into spreadsheets, carefully verifying all facts and statistics, and then organizing it all with a sharp attention to detail. Our Annual Statistics report looks back on Galveston real estate performance for the entire year and compares it to the previous year. 

Each statistics report details the following real estate market information:

  • Dollar volume and number of transactions for all of Galveston and surrounding areas,
  • Percentage of change, by both dollar volume and number of transactions,
  • Galveston Island recap of market activity, including average days on the market and median sales price.

The Galveston Daily News publishes each of these reports, along with a Sand `N Sea REALTOR® interview to explain in greater depth what’s behind current market conditions.
