Little Honu Retreat is ready to bring all the characteristics of its namesake (the green sea turtle) to your vacation. Comfortable furnishings & perfectly equipped rooms flow together to ensure your well-deserved island vacation is one to remember for all the right reasons.
As soon as you pull into the private driveway you’ll notice the tropical landscaping and well-appointed patio area. A dining area, patio furniture, and fun tiki bar encourage evenings spent cooking up your fresh catch on the bbq grill, or lounging & air drying after a day on the beach and a quick rinse in the outdoor shower.
Ready to take your fun inside? Head upstairs to the open living area, complete with a large sectional sofa and several side chairs. This space opens onto the sunny deck, perfect for slow evenings in the Gulf breeze. The nearby dining table seats 6 and there’s additional seating at the breakfast bar. The cozy kitchen has plenty of room to prep budget-friendly family meals, as well as all of the pots, pans, serving pieces, utensils & glassware you’ll need during your stay.
Enjoy a little friendly competition at the shuffleboard, or head upstairs to the loft and try your hand at some foosball. In addition to the games, the upper level boasts 3 built-in bunk beds, a TV, seating area and attached full bath – perfect for kids of all ages! Back on the main level, you’ll find 2 queen bedrooms and a full bathroom off the hall.
Take a short two block walk through the neighborhood to reach the sand & surf. Hours of beachcombing, sunbathing, birding, or surf fishing await!

On the West End, you’ll find miles and miles of beaches, birding sanctuaries, boat ramps, great fishing spots (beaches, bay & canal) as well as restaurants, groceries, gas and banking.
In-town attractions are an easy, short drive away – The Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier, Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn Waterpark, Historic Downtown Galveston, the Tall Ship Elissa at Pier 23, and many others.
PROPERTY CARE & HOUSEKEEPING
All Sand `N Sea Properties are non-smoking.
Our Housekeeping and Inspecting teams take care of preparing each home before every guest. They follow current CDC and Vacation Rental Housekeeping Professionals (VRHP) guidelines.
Sheets & bath towels are included with every reservation. Standard beds will already be made, ready for your arrival. Bunk beds and sleeper sofas will have a freshly laundered linen bundle available for your use.
We want to help get your trip off to an easy start, so all homes include a set of starter supplies: a roll of toilet paper for each bathroom, dishwashing soap, and shampoo, conditioner, lotion and hand soap for the bathrooms.
GOOD NEIGHBOR POLICY
Sand 'N Sea Properties is committed to good neighbor policies that provide the best experience possible for our vacation rental guests and our island neighbors. We share neighborhood HOA policies & city ordinance information with each of our guests via our rental policies, text & email reminders, and our Guest Portal.
We welcome family groups and responsible adult guests where leaseholders are a minimum of 25 years of age. Parties, reunions, proms and other gatherings are not allowed at any Sand `N Sea vacation homes.
