Carolyn has been very active in community endeavors over the years, including a Sustaining Membership in The Junior League of Galveston and fundraising events for local organizations spanning the Galveston’s Children Home to the 1894 Grand Opera House. Carolyn was the first Chairman of Project Graduation for Ball High School and she is a member of Galveston Country Club.

As architecture and interior design was her first “love”, Carolyn works with many of her clients and local builders on their home plans. Her personal hobbies include quail hunting, fishing at her Galveston Bay house, gardening and Mahjongg.
